my CV

Ph.D. student in Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology

All Chinese students and scholars at Harvard should unite.
We should make every effort for the whole community.
The rights of our team to serve are entitled by ALL of you.

I, a third year graduate student at Chemistry Department, am running for the president. As the treasurer of current HCSSA, I participated in all of the commemorable events during the past year. I am deeply moved by the devotion of my fellow members, the contribution of our volunteers for every event, and the consolidation of our Chinese community at Harvard.? However, I am not satisfied with what we have done before. My passion to improve the welfare of my compatriots leads me to run for this position.

Fortunately, two passionate fellows of current HCSSA, Jinzhu Chen and Xi Lu, join with me for the same goal, which is to better serve, to change and to improve. We have a wonderful time working together in the past year. They are very experienced in organizing various activities. Another character we have in common is responsibility. We all cherish the opportunity to serve and dedicate to our work. We are members of you, selected by you to work for you. Trust us, we will be great!.

Hi all, I am Jinzhu, a second year graduate student doing economics. You may remember me, amongst others, as associated with organizing such things as the moon festival reception, spring festival fashion show, mixing your boba tea, making milk shakes, or boiling sweet dumplings. Even though kitchen duties have worn out their initial excitement, having fun with you all has not. So please vote for my team to serve you on the next board

It's my great honor to run for Vice President of HCSSA in the election campaign of 2008-2009 and have the chance here to briefly introduce myself to everyone. I, Xi Lu, am a third-year graduate student at the Harvard SEAS. In the past year, I served as Sports/Movie Chair in the HCSSA, and organized many successful events including the so-called "Movie Nights" and various sports activities. It was the pleasant experience of working with my smart, passionate, and responsible peers in the HCSSA, as well as the trust and complete support of my team: Yikai Wang and Jinzhu Chen, that encourage me to run for another year's service in the Association, which to me, means both an great opportunity and fresh responsibility. A strong leading team can always optimize the values of an organization and therefore maximize its contribution to a community; this is the experience I have learned from the past and the belief that I am holding for the future. Teamed with Yikai Wang and Jinzhu Chen, I have the confidence that our leadership would be able to advance the HCSSA in the right direction, and make it a true bridge that connects every heart beating for/with China at Harvard!
